Vintage 1940s Panama Straw Fedora SZ 7

This genuine panama hat is a great one from the old Louisville menswear store, Loevenhart & Co. It even comes with its original box. It is a hand woven genuine panama in the wide snap brim style with a pleated and pongee band in rust with small figured print. Loevenhart’s was founded in Louisville in 1898 – see our entry on them on our Louisville Department Stores page for more information.

Vintage 1970s Grey Pinstriped 3 Piece Men’s Suit English Made SZ 38 - 40

This red and grey pinstriped wool blend 3-piece suit is English made. The jacket has wide lapels, a ticket pocket and side back vents. The fitted vest has a back belt and 2 pockets. The pants are flat front with belt loops, and a nylon coil zipper. The legs have a very slight flare.

Labels: Made in England Nicholson of St. Albans, Levy Bros Inc. Louisville, Terylene 100% Viscose Lining Dry Clean only 55% Polyester 45% Wool.

Size: Jacket: Chest: 42”, Shoulders: 17.5”, Sleeves: 24”, CB Neck to Hem: 29.5”.

1940s Black Wool and Faille Double Breasted Vintage Tuxedo SZ 42

This stylish men’s tuxedo for the 1940s is a deep black wool in a long line double breasted cut. The peaked faille lapels coordinate with the grosgrain brain on the trousers. The jacket has a back vent, while the pants have pleats, suspender buttons, a watch pocket and a metal zipper. This tuxedo suit has several labels, including drycleaner tags for a Col. J. Baker. Rogers Peet and o. opened in Manhattan in 1874, eventually with stores in Boston, Hartford and New Jersey. The last stores closed by the mid-1980s. Both Cole Porter ("Hitchy-Koo Of 1919”) and Frank Loesser ( Guys and Dolls) used the store name in their song lyrics.

Vintage 1950s Turquoise Blue Men's Rayon Bowling Shirt SZ L

Love these shirts. I used to wear them myself to work. This is Ben's bowling shirt in a vibrant turquoise, with flap pockets and a loop button neckline. Ben bowled for the Pat's Andover Lighthouse team. All in white and navy blue chain stitch, of course.
