Vintage 1950s Flecked Grey Wool Sport Coat SZ 42

This dapper sport jacket is in an unusual wool weave and color. It's almost a cool grey but with a hint of purple tone with subtle black and white flecks. The style details include long, moderately slim lapels, flapped pockets, welt breast pocket, cuff buttons and a back vent. Botany 500 was a very well known maker of menswear through the 50s into the 1990s. Levine's was a Waterville landmark form the 1920a to 1997.

Vintage 1950s Slate Grey Sport Coat SZ 42

This slate grey sport coat is a lightweight summer jacket in a shantung type weave. The gray blue fabrics seems to be a blend of fibers, most likely with some triacetate involved, and possibly silk. The 2 button front has a slim rounded lapel with flapped pockets and there is a back vent.

Size: Size 42. Men's jackets have a standard 4" ease built in. So while the garment measures 46" in the chest, it's meant to fit a 42. Chest: 46", Shoulders: 18", Sleeves: 25", CB Neck to Hem: 30.75".

Condition: Excellent, no holes or stains. Some fading of the lining at the shoulder blades.

Vintage 1950s Charcoal Gray Wool Over Coat SZ 42

This warm, winter weight charcoal grey and black plaid wool overcoat has a three button front, welt pockets, back raglan sleeves and front set-in sleeve. The sleeves have partial cuffs and there is a back vent. This is lined, but the extra zip out lining is long gone. Please note that the close-ups have been lightened to show the pattern. The coat is quite dark.

Vintage Brown, Cream and Rust 1950s Wool Overcoat SZ 42

This warm, very much winter weight wool coat is in a brown, rust and cream plaids wool weave. And the warm, plaid wool zip out lining is still intact! It has a fly front with three hidden buttons and buttonholes, slash welt pockets and set in sleeves. There is a back vent. Frank C. Wise was in business by 1884 in Gardiner, Maine, where he bought the clothing business of Bicknell and Neal. His son Frank A. Wise and grandson continued the business until at least 1977.

Size: Chest: 48", Shoulders: 18.5", Sleeves: 25", CB Neck to Hem: 43.75".

Condition: Excellent, no holes or stains. The hidden buttonholes had fayed from use and have been mended at some point. The lining behind them is quite worn. Please see photos.

Vintage 1950s Men's Brown Bond Suit SZ 42

A fine men's suit from the 1950s. It's a deep brown/black woven wool - slightly lightened in the photos. The two button jacket has medium lapels, welt pockets, a back vent and a partial lining. The fullish trousers have pleats, belt loops, a metal zipper, and cuffs.

Size: Jacket: Chest: 46", Shoulders: 19", Sleeves: 25", CB Neck to Hem: 31". Pants: Waist: 34" + 2.5", Outseam: 42", Inseam: 31.25 + 1.75" Cuff and 1" hem.

Vintage 1970s Blue Striped Wool Suit by Cricketeer SZ 38

This is a classic suit, definitely 1970s, with the wide lapels and slightly belled pants, but a classic suiting wool. The 2 button SB jacket has a back vent, flap pockets, button sleeve cuffs and a partial lining. The trousers have belt loops4 pockets a nylon coil zip and a slightly bell to the hem. Cricketeer was a good quality, mid line brand of the 1960s to the 80s. Issokson's was a long time tailor and menswear shop

Label: It's a Cricketeer tailored expressly for Issokson's Falmouth, Mass and ACWA label 1968 - 1976.

Size: Jacket: Chest: 42", Shoulders: 17", Sleeves: 24", CB Neck to Hem: 31". Pants: Waist: 32", Outseam: 40.5", Inseam: 31" + 2.75" Hem. Hem has 1" bell.

Condition: Excellent with no holes or stains.
